Role description: Arcadis are excited to be working on some of the largest projects across the country and we are growing our teams rapidly We are now seeking a Principal/Lead Civil Structures Engineer to lead a team of associated civil works for Melbourne on a fixed-term engagement. Role accountabilities: Managing selected designs and teams for projects or design elements to meet budget, time- frame and quality targets, while exceeding client expectations; Providing technical advice to project team members whilst building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Working in collaboration with other design teams and disciplines to ensure the integrity and quality of the overall design Managing subcontractors, quality assurance and client feedback and ensure effective communication of any changes/modifications; and Meeting project deadlines and ensuring that commitments and expectations are met. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and want to be part of city-shaping projects that change the way we move around our capital. You are a tertiary qualified engineer with extensive experience in bridge design and come to us with: Expertise in ensuring high-quality delivery of bridge and civil structure related concepts and designs whilst working closely with highways and rail designs teams Ability to lead, manage, mentor and develop medium scale, diverse project teams Sound understanding of design management and experience in design review and verification High-level proficiency in the use of structural analysis and design software Chartered status and experience with TMR will be highly regarded.
