PRIMARY DETAIL The department of Economics within Macquarie Business School is currently inviting expressions of interest for inclusion within our casual academic pool. If you are interested, please register your Expression of Interest and provide the requested details and the Workday application process as detailed below by Sunday, 8 October 2023. THE ROLE The Department of Economics, within the Macquarie Business School, invites expressions of interest from appropriately qualified and professionally experienced people to take tutorials on econometrics offered in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs during the day and/or evening. Appointed casual academic staff might also be asked if they can undertake student consultation and mark assessments and examinations. Essential Criteria To be considered for tutor positions, applicants must possess the following: An undergraduate degree (3 years ) or equivalent post graduate qualification relevant to their desired teaching discipline(s) Knowledge of econometrics Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others; and, Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students. Desired Criteria Preference will be given to applicants who hold higher, relevant degrees, demonstrate higher levels of recent experience, and have teaching experience, preferably at University level. Successful Expressions of Interest will be kept on file and may be considered by the Department when a vacancy arises that is an appropriate match to their skill base, disciplinary background, and availability. Neither having an Expression of Interest on file, or being considered for a vacancy, imply that employment is guaranteed.
