THE ROLE The Department of Marketing within Macquarie Business School is currently inviting expressions of interest from appropriately qualified and professionally experienced people to take tutorials in Marketing during the day and/or evening. Appointed casual academic staff are expected to undertake student consultation and mark assessments and examinations. To Apply Please apply online and attach your resume and a separate cover letter (no more than 2 pages) that outlines how you meet the selection criteria below: Essential Criteria To be considered for tutor positions, applicants must possess the following: An undergraduate degree (3 years ) or equivalent post graduate qualification relevant to their desired teaching discipline(s); Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others; Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students; and, Demonstrated proficiency with computer network systems, relevant software applications and web-based technology. Desired Criteria Applicants with teaching experience in market research, and/or favourable qualitative and quantitative analytics experience, are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants who hold higher, relevant degrees, demonstrate higher levels of recent experience, and have teaching experience, preferably at University level. Successful Expressions of Interest will be kept on file, and may be considered by the Department when a vacancy arises that is an appropriate match to their skill base, disciplinary background, and availability.
