The Opportunity We are looking for a highly dynamic and motivated Research scientist to join a highly experienced scientific team with state-of-the-art facilities that performs discovery and optimisation of therapeutic antibodies. Specifically, the research activities will support antibody engineering workflows including structural analysis / molecular modelling, antibody sequence analysis, antibody expression and purification, screening of optimised antibodies and analytical characterisation. How you'll Spend Your Day This is a lab-based role which includes: Design of expression constructs and DNA cloning Protein sequence analysis Antibody expression and characterization workflows Structural analysis Collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams to communicate project activities and timelines Keeping up with the emerging trends in the discipline, provide regular updates to key stakeholders through presentations, author reports, and maintain experiment records in a timely manner through the use of electronic lab notebooks Training of junior staff members as required Providing general research/laboratory support, including ordering and maintaining consumables, interacting with suppliers Your Experiences and Qualifications Doctorate or equivalent experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology or related discipline Experience with protein structure evaluation and use of related software suites Knowledge in protein engineering Experience in characterisation of antibodies using HPLC, ELISA, SPR or Flow cytometry Excellent understanding and practical experience in protein purification Understanding of the drug discovery and development process related to therapeutic antibodies Ability to keep up with the timelines and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and collaborate with larger team for scientific communication and knowledge exchange Be well organised and able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously while working within a team Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) and excellent documentation skills Excellent interpersonal skills Previous experience in industry-based R&D Enjoy a more rewarding choice Work with a motivated team of scientists in state-of-the-art laboratories Generous leave, health and wellbeing benefits Commitment to ongoing personal & professional growth via a blend of learning opportunities Parking available at our Macquarie Park site Opportunity to join a leading global organisation with a network of 37,000 employees operating in 60 markets, with 25 R&D sites Make a Difference with Teva Pharmaceuticals Please submit your CV and a cover letter responding to the selection criteria outlining relative keys skills and experience in relation to this role.
