Role description: Due to continued growth in our Transportation team in Melbourne, a role has become available within our Highways & Civil Engineering team. Role accountabilities: Working in collaboration with other design teams and disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design; Managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, program, design budgets, invoicing, technical and commercial risks and client management; Delivering design documentation, technical reports and specifications for clients and providing leadership and technical advice to project team members; and Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable with experience in civil structure projects and come to us with: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline; Extensive years of design experience on civil structures including bridges, cut and cover tunnels, retaining walls, lift shafts, stairs, culverts and their foundations; Experience on projects for RMS, TfNSW, Sydney Trains or their interstate equivalents; High-level proficiency in the use of structural analysis and design software; Excellent client-focus and a sound technical know-how; Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships, both with clients and team members; Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills; and Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
