With experience delivering projects across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects now coupled with work across the Power Transmission sectors, they are a fantastic business to join to be part of the energy transition being undertaken across the country. With their continued growth, they are now looking for a Civil Structural design engineer to join their team on a full-time basis in Sydney. As the successful applicant, you would have the following responsibilities: Conduct concept design for civil and structural disciplines, including drafting and studies. Perform design reviews for civil and structural disciplines. Support the Engineering Manager in conducting cross-discipline design reviews, including safety in design, HAZID, HAZCON, HAZOP. Manage and issue design reviews from all disciplines to external designers/consultants. Assist in designing components related to civil and structural aspects during tender and feasibility phases. It is expected that you will possess the following skills: At least 3 years of local experience in infrastructure or energy projects - no previous energy industry experience is required, but preference would be for you to possess experience on infrastructure related projects. Proficient in civil design, including but not limited to hydrology, bench, pavement, drainage, stormwater management, access road, and Bill of Quantities (BoQ). Proficient in structural design, including but not limited to geotechnical review, pad and pile foundations, wind loading, concrete, and set-out plans. Strong command of AUTOCAD. Experience with 12D, Tuflow or similar software is highly desirable. Familiarity with structural steel and reinforced concrete design codes and practices. A full job description can be provided.
