Role description: Due to consistent growth in our business, we are currently looking for a Senior Stormwater Engineer to join our Sydney team. We have multiple opportunities for engineers with various skill sets across our civil teams in Places (Urban Development) and Mobility (Highways and Rail) Business Areas. This role is flexible to suit the candidate with regards to attendance in the Sydney office, working hours and Business Areas. Role accountabilities: Managing selected projects or components of projects with a focus on drainage and stormwater investigation, analysis and design; Providing both leadership and technical advice to project team members; Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design; Confirming relevant authority requirements, standards, specifications and procedures to the design scope of works; Review of, and ensuring compliance with, the components of the project for which we are responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies and the interfaces with other disciplines; Guiding the technical development of junior engineers in the stormwater discipline area. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life through your contribution to major infrastructure or land development projects. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable Stormwater Engineer with experience in civil infrastructure or land development projects. To be successful in this role you will have: Relevant engineering degree (Civil or Environmental). Chartered status or seeking equivalent professional accreditation advantageous; Proficiency in stormwater drainage design using 12d and DRAINS are a requirement. Additional expertise in general civil works, WSUD or flood modelling advantageous. Relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of a project, application of standards and technical knowledge; Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally; and Experience of working in multi discipline design and/or project teams.
