You will act as a point of contact and source of advice on all aspects of research administration at the Faculty Level. Key responsibilities will include:Grant Application Support and Management: Administer/coordinate Faculty-level research funding application processes, including the review, ranking, endorsement or co-funding of applications to internal and external funding schemes.Communication and Engagement: Source and disseminate information on relevant internal and external research funding opportunities, skills development, events and information to academic staff and students.Coordinate the Faculty's participation in the UQ Summer and Winter Research programmes, including the call for and selection of projects, advertisements, and administration of student selection, placement, and payments of grants.Provide administrative support and coordination of the Faculty's higher degree research student development and support schemes including administration, review and financial processing.This is a part-time (40%), fixed term position through to the 3rd May 2024At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $84,871 - $91,158 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $99,300 - $106,655 annually.About You Our ideal candidate will have:A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Experience in research administration with a sound knowledge of research policies and procedures or the demonstrated capacity to rapidly gain that knowledge.Advanced skills in the use of computer applications for word-processing, data storage and retrieval, and spreadsheets.Experience with using University reporting systems such as Business Objects and Career Hub.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues internal and external to the University including professional, academic staff and health professionals engaged in research.Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently as necessary and exercise judgement and initiative.Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to job-share a role effectively would be considered an advantage.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
