About the role Nlyte Software (a Carrier Company), a global company developing commercial solutions in the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) market has an opportunity in the role of Senior Pre-sales Solutions Engineer for the Australian Market. DCIM is often tightly coupled with a customer’s ITSM/CMDB solutions and Building Management Systems (BMS). The ideal candidate has experience in data center engineering and ITSM/CMDB solutions. You will mainly focus on supporting the general sales and professional services operations and effort of the Company to customers and prospects. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the sales of software and professional services, and the ongoing support and satisfaction of existing customers. This position can be based in the Melbourne or Sydney region. Key Responsibilities Work with sales team to identify, cultivate, and close sales opportunity Present product demonstrations, manage Proof of Concepts, and serve as the technical subject matter expert for all pre-sales activities. Technical responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to, problem identification, systems architecture definition, hardware/software specification, design, implementation, testing, client training and solution deployment. Identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organization. Manage customer interaction and engagement, including project scoping, Statement of Work development, deliverable documentation and follow-up. Maintain working proficiency in Nlyte Software products and technologies through self-directed and formal training. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Experience in a data center and/or ITSM role Experience giving software demonstrations. Preferred Qualifications Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include: Experience in a data center or ITSM role – must understand the technology behind the effective delivery of data center services and know how to support a service delivery model. Ability to articulate and transfer complex ideas to a wide audience through both verbal and written communication. Understand technical requirements; explain solutions deliverables and drive internal support teams towards target delivery dates. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Self-motivated and flexible. Demonstrated strong written communication, presentation writing, project scoping and technical documentation skills. Working knowledge of, and proficiency in Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and/or facilities management such as building management or electrical power management systems. Working knowledge of, and proficiency in ITSM, CMDB, and discovery technologies Knowledge of Windows Server, SQL, IIS, and VMWare, Intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel Knowledge of servers and networking Knowledge of how industrial cooling and power distribution systems operate Understanding of MS Reporting services and other reporting software Familiarity with industry protocols like Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, etc. Prior experience with data center builds, datacenter operations, virtualization of server and storage platforms, cloud computing, capacity planning, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and ITIL A, CPA/CMA (preferred but not required) Our commitment to you Our greatest assets are the expertise, creativity and passion of our employees.
