ABOUT THE ROLE A Driver Assistant (Level-2) position with Qube is your pathway to becoming a Qualified Train Driver. The role is focused on providing safety critical support to our Train Crew when moving Trains in the yard at the Port Kembla Depot. This includes in accordance with Qube Rail Safety Management Procedures and Systems, the relevant track access provider, regulator and siding owner rules and procedures. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will ideally: Have a desire to learn and develop new skills Be willing and available to work in a dynamic 24/7 shift work roster Have a technical or trade background - preferred but not essential Hold a Current Drivers Licence and provide recent drivers licence history Work collaboratively and harmoniously as a part of a team Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution, as well as being able to work in effectively in a team environment Be flexible and adaptable, and be able to work in a safety critical environment Be able to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately orally and in writing Have a good general level of health and fitness WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AS A DRIVER ASSISTANT?
