Macmahon is inviting applications from Senior Mining Engineers to join our team at Greenbushes on an 8/6 DIDO roster. The Senior Mining Engineer will provide accurate and comprehensive open cut mining engineering support to the leadership team and assist the Company in achieving its overall business objectives. The Greenbushes project is located in the picturesque South West region of Western Australia in the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes. Our client, Talison Lithium, is the world's leading lithium minerals concentrate provider and the Greenbushes project is recognised as containing the world's highest grade and largest hard rock deposit of the lithium mineral spodumene. Macmahon's scope of work includes open cut mining activities of load and haul, and crusher feed, which will commence on 1 July 2023 for an initial 7-year period with an option to extend. Responsibilities All aspects of engineering work including: mine planning, design, scheduling, drill & blast support and equipment selection Provide engineering, technical and contract support to the Project Manager and mining team Timely reporting of accurate site performance statistics Technical engineering support and analysis to site management and personnel Daily reporting collation, analysis, distribution and review with production team including profit and loss estimates Review and liaise with site technical teams on Client schedules, equipment allocation and expected costs and revenue Complete and provide analysis of empirical fiscal returns, and the drivers impacting those returns Assist in the development of, and ongoing engagement in, commercial based efficiency improvement projects Monitor, control and ensure that all work is conducted in a manner that ensures that the required quality is achieved within budget and timeframe Interpret blast designs, mining schedules and other technical data Prepare end of month claims and reports as required by the Company and the Client Qualifications and attributes Mining Engineer Degree or similar Minimum of 5 years' post-graduation experience Minimum of 2 years working within the Surface Mining Industry Current Australian Driver's License Mine Design Software experience Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Effective and respectful interpersonal communication skills Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency (desirable) Experience working for a Contractor or managing Contractor activities (desirable) Macmahon benefits Employee discounts; groceries, petrol, fashion, entertainment more Award winning fitness, financial & mental health support Salary sacrifice options for self-funded FIFO travel or airport parking Novated vehicle leasing Career development pathways Macmahon is a diversified contractor with leading capabilities in surface and underground mining, civil construction and resources engineering.
