About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to join our team based in Oakleigh. Reporting to the Certification Channel Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth through assisting with compliance based questions around our Lorient and Pyropanel based systems, product range management and new product development. In this highly dynamic and challenging role, your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: - Responsible for administration and maintenance of relevant performance door and frame, seal and hardware certification - including fire, smoke and acoustic for the Australia Group - Monitoring the relevant standards, regulations and codes to ensure that certification is up to date and report on any gaps to limit exposure in certification - Responding to technical questions and clarification around the relevant standards and performance criteria - Providing technical sales support relating to performance door and hardware certification - Developing administering and maintaining a centralised data hub for historical & current certification for ASSA ABLOY performance door and hardware - Generating sales and building relationships with existing and new customers - Working with the relevant stakeholders to identify gaps in certification About you You will be a results-oriented individual with a hands-on approach with strong technical knowledge and be able to operate with a high level of structure, energy & autonomy. You will have the ability to work in a cross-functional teams and with external stakeholders to ensure project execution is delivered. You will have experience working in a technical role within the fire/security/door hardware industry and have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or a recent graduate within Fire or Mechanical engineering disciplines. Experience in using AUTOCAD or SolidWorks would be advantageous but not essential.
