The Esk Health Service comprises of a Level 2 Rural Hospital, outpatient services and a community health service. Laidley Hospital is located 45KM west of Ipswich.Inpatient services include medical, post-operative surgical, telepharmacy, slow stream rehabilitation, palliative care and telehealth. Boonah Hospital is located 50KM south of Ipswich.Inpatient Services include acute, low risk paediatric, palliative care, rehabilitation, interim care, infusions and transitional care. Gatton Hospital is located 55KM West of Ipswich. Inpatient care is provided for low acuity paediatrics, palliative care, post-natal maternity, slow stream rehabilitation, acute and interim care. About the role The registered nurse supports excellence in nursing care and patient outcomes, is a competent clinician who provides nursing care with clinical competence and capability, optimising access to care services. The registered nurse works in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide person and family centred, quality, safe patient care. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Contemporary clinical knowledge in the area of rural nursing, delivering competent nursing care in complex situations while providing support to other team members. Ability to provide patient and family centred care to the patient using best practice and within the standard of practice of a Registered Nurse. Ability to communicate to a high standard effectively and engage with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors whilst displaying a high level of professional nursing care. Ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Demonstrated high standard of written and oral communication skills. A commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to quality improvement processes.
