We now have multiple rewarding opportunities available for dedicated Primary School Teachers to join our team and enter a unique learning environment unlike any other found in Australia Your Next Opportunity: Reporting to the School Principal, you will provide an effective teaching program that caters to the unique needs of individual students in your classroom. You’ll also have the opportunity to implement teaching strategies and other initiatives that empower Aboriginal students across a number of age groups to achieve their full potential. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning, preparing, and delivering quality, effective teaching and learning programs consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, Yipirinya School objectives and the Australian Curriculum Supporting student learning, safety, and well-being through the active development of supportive learning environments and effective behaviour support practices Assessing student learning, maintaining student records and samples of work, and reporting on student performance to students, parents, the Department, and other stakeholders as required What You Will Bring to the Team: To be considered for these positions, you will need to be eligible for registration as a Teacher in the Northern Territory and have relevant tertiary qualifications in Education (or similar) that allow you to teach in Australia. A valid Working With Children Check/Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of role) will also be required. Experience working with Aboriginal students will be highly regarded, however is not essential as long as you have the ability to act in a culturally sensitive manner and have a desire to contribute to closing the gap in Indigenous education. Critical to your continued success with Yipirinya School will also be your ability to cater your communication style for a wide range of audiences, as well as your ability to build rapport with parents and staff to support effective student engagement.
