Talenza have partnered with a global top 20 insurance and reinsurance company to offer an exceptional opportunity to join the team as a UX/UI Designer on a contract basis. Listed on the Australian Securities exchange they employ 14,000 people in 43 countries, with headquarters in downtown Sydney. This is a 6-month contract opportunity, paying $708 super, per day. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years' experience, and will have ideally worked in financial services in the past. Responsibilities Gather and evaluate user, functional, technical, and business requirements Define solutions that are based on a user-centric approach and design thinking methodology Communicate concepts and ideas through flows, wireframes, prototypes and any other relevant UX deliverables Create visually appealing, engaging and user-friendly UI designs that follows HCD principles (good knowledge of Material UI is a plus) Run usability testing to validate solutions Work closely with development team and support QA effort Contribute to the build, application and maintenance of the design system and other key tools and frameworks Requirements 3 - 5 years' experience in UX design in a digital environment Excellent UX/UI design portfolio, demonstrating a user-centric approach and a good understanding of modern web design best practices Solid experience working with design systems High proficiency in design tools or applications (Sketch preferred) Strong communication skills - able to present designs clearly and effectively Understanding of WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 guidelines Good English level to write UX copy Versed in working in an Agile delivery environment Usage of Jira, Confluence, or other collaboration/issue tracking software Experience in usability testing Experience with insurance or finance industry is a plus. At minimum, ability to understand complex products, and an interest to develop a deep understanding of insurance customers, their behaviours and motivations Full working rights in Australia, essential for application.
