About the roleWe are seeking a Senior Engineer – OT Design to provide definition, design and commissioning co-ordination services for OT and instrumentation infrastructure design and provide technical support and advice in process planning, definition, design, operations and related standards. Reporting to the TL – OT Design, you will undertake and coordinate investigations, conceptual planning and financial analysis for assessment, development and remedial works of OT / SCADA and instrumentation assets. You will have an interest and knowledge in communications technology, networks, and with a good understanding of how OT / SCADA systems are configured. Relevant experience in and sound knowledge of a Design Manager role with project management experience, and in the preparation and review of technical reports and tender specifications for water industry infrastructure.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with stakeholders of all levels.Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices relating to the design and commissioning of OT / SCADA and Control Systems with particular emphasis on instrumentation.Ability to analyse existing and/or proposed infrastructure assets in order to evaluate engineering and economic effectiveness and to present viable recommendations.Knowledge of engineering design processDesign experience and understanding of the system engineering design process from user requirements to delivery.What the role will involveLead and provide guidance in the development and maintenance of engineering design criteria, design standards and manuals for OT, Control and Instrumentation within the agreed budgetary and time constraints.Lead, develop and deliver strategic reports and designs for the solution of infrastructure problems using in-house or external resources.
