Monitoring, Advising, Supporting, Educating, and AnalysingPurpose of this roleThe Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (Qld) Ltd (?ATSILS?), is committed to maintaining a proactive focus and monitoring role regarding the accountability of both government and governmental agencies in the implementation of, and adherence to, the Recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody. As a legal practitioner you will provide:a dynamic focal point for an array of services to support advocacy, monitoring, research and analysis, information dissemination, engagement, and education to community; andsupport to clients and their families relating to both Coronial Inquests and/or complaints brought before the Crime and Corruption Commission;specialist services from our Townsville Office; working with senior staff to map out a North and North-Western plan. This will complement your Brisbane peer's work;build on a growing network of community legal education services. We have seven Selection Criteria in our Position Description (PD) for this role and wish you every success in this fast-paced recruitment. Salary scope is indicative only and is subject to negotiation. Admission date, performance at interview, career highlights are all factored into your package.
