This internship will provide real experiences and real learning; allowing you to gain valuable workplace experience. This 6-month opportunity to learn and work alongside our dedicated and experienced team of finance professionals will aim to equip you with the skills, knowledge and network you need to accelerate your learning and gain valuable exposure to our brand, values and purpose. By joining Daimler Truck Australia Pacific (DTAuP) as the Finance and Accounting Intern, you will get the opportunity to assist the Financial Controlling and Accounting department with preparing and maintaining timely and accurate financial information to satisfy the reporting needs and decision-making requirements of internal and external users. Located in Mulgrave, this role will require a positive attitude, and motivation to learn and develop new skills. Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Treasury, your key responsibilities will include: Support the Manager Accounting in analysing the Company Results- Mainly Trial Balance Review Perform month end accruals for incentives and warranty Support the Accounting team with month end analysis and the preparation of journals Assist with the reconciliation of accounts and allocating costs Support with invoicing processes Support with reconciliations of certain general ledger accounts Assist with the creation and analysis of SAP reports for business units Ad hoc project and task support as required Qualifications Who we are looking for: To be successful in this internship, you will have great communication and interpersonal skills and a can do attitude. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks will be important in this role. You will be an independent self-starter with an ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. It is beneficial if you have completed or are completing a Finance or Accounting Degree, and hold proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
