Yard Person/ Forklift Driver Winkleigh, Devon £11.00 - £12.03 per hour Posted September 18, 2023 We are looking for a Yard Person/Forklift Driver to join our prestigious manufacturing client in Winkleigh, EX19 8DW. Having your own transport is necessary as the client is in a rural location, however there is free parking on site. Pay: £11.00 an hour - £12.03 an hour after successfully passing your probation. Hours: Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week This is a temporary ongoing position with the view of going permanent once you have passed your probation. The Yard Person role consists of: Maintain the outside compound, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy. Ensure goods are stored in its correct storage location. Manage stock to advise when they are getting near their re-order levels. Monitor and maintain Forklift trucks, to ensure all checks are completed daily and any defects are reported. Loading and unloading of goods in conjunction with company paperwork and quality and safety standards. Examining product to ensure it conforms to required quality standards. Picking daily KD / GC stock from container storage for daily dispatch. Removal of waste. Covering for internal forklift duties. Carry out end of month stocktaking duties. The role of a Yards Person requires: You must be Forklift trained. Have knowledge of stock control within a manufacturing environment. You must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
