Grade 2 Social Worker RMHhome Acute Full time, 80 hours per fortnight (including ADOs) Enjoy a supported, flexible role in a multi-disciplinary team environment Support the access and flow through the RMHhome (acute) service This position will provide the successful applicant opportunities to gain experience working in a well-supported multi-disciplinary team environment with a wide variety of acute surgical and medical patients. This role involves the provision of Social Work service, supervision and education of student and junior Social Workers and will be a member of our supportive team. The Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub-acute and community based services across a range of specialties. Your new role: Complete psychosocial assessments and provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families and/or carers Liaise with service providers and refer to Community Services, Aged Care Assessment Service and Transition Care Program You will be well supported by Social Work team leaders (grade 3) and clinical lead (grade 4) as well as RMHhome multi-disciplinary team You will help us achieve excellence in patient care, helping patients in their homes About you You are a qualified Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with at least 4 years work experience as a Social Worker You are an adaptable quick learner with proven ability to work autonomously in hospital environments You are able to deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care to patients and their carers You have the experience and skills to mentor and supervise junior staff Benefits of working with the RMH Close proximity to excellent cafes and eateries and the University of Melbourne You will enjoy excellent work-life balance.
