Newly created role due to new major contract, Sydney metro, $150,000-170,000 Base Super Comms for certified estimator Our client Is an Australian owned company seeking the long-term employment of an experienced Minor works Estimator (Fire Systems) to join their expanding Sydney team due to their continued growth (19 new hires and 5 promotions within the last 12 months). Essential Skills A disciplined/methodical approach to work – planning, action and follow up Deliver client presentations and negotiations with clients Detailed knowledge of the fire industry and construction industry Ability to read/interpret construction plans, specification documentation and finishes schedules Ability to read and comprehend schematics and tender documents. Ability to use automated estimating systems Key Responsibilities Develop and submit professional accurate tender submissions for fire sprinkler systems, fire detection systems , occupant warning system and hydrant systems Proven experience managing the full-life cycle of projects (including forecasting, budgeting, and contract administration). Review and assess the tenders ensuring all documents are received and are correct. Responding clearly and professionally to key clients and customers via email and phone Interacting with a variety of internal stakeholders and clients Liaise with architects, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers and project owners Experience in Design would be a distinct advantage Successful applicants will have:- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Sprinkler Fitter/Estimator within the fire industry To be considered for the top end of the range, you will need to be FSD accredited. Special Hazards experience Design experience would be an advantage Estimating projects up to $1M History of projects estimated from that have been awarded and run under budget Sound knowledge of AS2118, AS1670 and AS2419 the BCA and legacy codes and standards applicable to the fire suppression industry.
