The Role As the successful applicant you will report to the Software Engineering Manager and provide specialised software development for innovative instrument, technology, and data projects. You will contribute to the delivery of the Research Data and Software (RDS) programme through collaboration and participation in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as an individual and as part of the team. About You You are a team player with a collaborative and growth mindset. You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, coupled with strong analytical and technical skills. You will possess knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and have contributed to a range of software projects. You will have experience in agile methodologies and collaborating in a matrix cross-functional environment to deliver quality project outcomes. You will be comfortable working with other engineers under the direction of more senior team members and managers, to expand your skills beyond your comfort zone, while contributing to creative solutions so as to deliver technical requirements to scope and budget. The Research Software Developer is an important role within the team and applies their expertise in multiple focus areas to projects, collaborating with other team members in an innovative environment.
