The College is currently seeking an experienced Mathematics teacher and passionate Mathematician to join our team in the Secondary School. The successful applicant will be able to teach across years 7 to 12, preferably in both SACE and IBDP (International Baccalaureate) Mathematics. The Mathematics faculty at Prince Alfred College provides students with the opportunity to achieve a deep understanding of Mathematics within the curriculum, whilst also exploring mathematical ideas that sit outside of the standard curriculum. Our teachers are supported by specialist leaders in Theoretical and General Mathematics as well as well as a Coordinator of Non-routine Problem Solving, who are all overseen by our Head of Mathematics. We are seeking a teacher who is keen to join a supportive faculty that values high quality teaching that calls upon a mix of strategies to help students understand, perform highly and engage vigorously with non-routine problems. The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, commencing in 2024.
