Your new role We are seeking a Data Engineer to join us on a 24-month max-term contract to be responsible for assisting in developing high quality Data artifacts and delivering Data Engineering capabilities at the Fund. This key role will be part of a wider Data Engineering capability and will work with other Data Engineers in building the Fund's Data Solution. Key responsibilities will include; Liaise with project team members, business stakeholders and external vendors to build strong partnerships to help create a collaborative, transparent, and high performing culture with a strong delivery mind set Actively engage with the wider Engineering Practice to assist in uplifting overall capability, create a sense of community, drive continuous improvement Provide support to business application from the data consumption perspective Troubleshooting performance issues and provide solutions for optimisation Monitoring, debugging for both streaming-based and batch-based ETL Pipelines Assist team members with code reviewing, change request peer review and knowledge sharing Assist the leadership team with decisions regarding the Enterprise Data Platform What you'll need Experience working in complex enterprise Data Environments Proven Engineering experience in Python, Spark, SQL and related languages 2 years' experience in designing and building advanced Data Pipelines and Data Warehouses at an enterprise scale DevOps experience inclusive of creating CI/CD/CT pipelines for data engineering and analytics using Azure DevOps Experience in one or more of the following public Data cloud platforms, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google Cloud, with preference for Azure Cloud Synapse and ADF, ADB Experience in training AI/ML models through supervised/unsupervised and categorical/continuous learning methods Database administration and management experience including but not limited to Microsoft SQL technologies Passionate about software engineering excellence, new methodologies, and leading change A thirst and willingness to expand and gain knowledge in new technologies (e.g. Machine Learning / AI) Tertiary qualification in Computer Science / Information Technology Experience with Agile practices Life at AustralianSuper AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
