Our clients may have physical disability, acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, intellectual disability or autism. Our teams are based in Melbourne, Geelong and regional Victoria, including Benalla, Wangaratta, Stawell and Bendigo. For this role, we are looking for people to support our clients who are located in the city, Docklands, South Melbourne areas Please note - when you apply you will receive an email asking you for some further details - please look out for it To do a great job, you'll need: - Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values. - Experience in supporting people with a physical disability and using manual handling equipment - Variety of Shifts, must be willing to commit to regular ongoing shifts - minimum of 3 shifts per week including shifts which may be smaller in duration i.e 2-3 hours, experience in supporting people with mental health - Experience and skills supporting client to feel comfortable in chosen environment, ability to assess immediate environment and provide appropriate support - Experience in personal care (showering and dressing) and assistance with household duties - Have great patience and be willing to put in the time and energy to build rapport with client - Commitment and Enthusiasm in supporting client with community activities such as gym, swimming, art and have an understanding of meaningful engagement.
