Join our Services APAC team within the Services division in Australia as an Electrical Engineer to help us take our Rydalmere team to the next level. About the role As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to internal and external clients and act as a technical reference authority in electrical and electronic engineering, explosion protection, test and measurement, quality and standards for Electro-Mechanical rotating equipment (motor, generators). Day to day you will be responsible for: Design of form wound coils and commutators (copper needs, required insulation, etc). Development of specific test procedures and inspection plans. Test voltage calculation on single coils and complete windings. Partial Discharge test knowledge and interpretation. TAN Delta test results interpretation. Commissioning of electrical rotating machines and their accessories. Troubleshoot issues with electrical rotating machines in service center and at site. Root cause analysis (RCA) of issues, and recommendations of repair and upgrades. Develop technical report and proposal, and support cost estimation Support quality team opening and closing NCR's. Liaise with customers regarding estimation and design as appropriate. Initiate and participate in the planning and development of engineering policies and procedures. What will you bring to Sulzer: To succeed in the role of Electrical Engineer, you will ideally have: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 5-10 years' relevant experience. Demonstrated technical experience with electrical rotating equipment services. A technical background in electrical engineering, preferable in HV and hazardous areas. Experience with winding parameters design/medication is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships. Experience with 2D CAD and drafting.
