About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical receptionist to join our team.Reporting to the Medical Practice Manager of Swinburne Health Service the Medical Receptionist will deliver effective administrative support and customer service within the health service department. The position is expected to perform administrative tasks and reception duties using business and communication strategies to provide a high-level administrative support to staff and contractors within the service. The incumbent is required to be flexible in hours to cover practice working hours, which are 08:00am to 6:00pm.About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: • Enhancing Swinburne Health Service’s image by being the first point of contact for our clinic and providing an exemplary service for patients / clients• Managing phone and face to face enquiries about our services from both patients and medical practitioners, with diligence and professionalism in a timely manner• At all times maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information• Have an understanding of infection prevention and control strategies to ensure a safe environment• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team• Support the day-to-day operations of the Health Service, including financial responsibilities.• Work with the MPM to achieve practice accreditation. Qualifications• Minimum 2 years proven reception experience in a similar role• First Aid including CPR and Defibrillator training• Mental Health First Aid TrainingAbout Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne Horizon 2025 draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
