Role description: Due to consistent growth in our team and the demands of our strong and growing pipeline of work in our core business of civil highways engineering, we are looking for experienced Senior Road Designer. You could be part of major infrastructure projects and have the opportunity to be involved in the digital engineering delivery of these and other major projects. Role accountabilities: Managing, planning, resourcing and completing the assigned delivery of the road design component of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines; Assisting in the resolution of complex road design technical issues; Assisting the Project Manager in determining the resources required for a project plan including elements suitable for outsourcing; Ensuring the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project; Maintaining ongoing communication with relevant Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients when required, to ensure effective communications on matters relevant to the project; Ensuring the compliance with Arcadis quality systems and design standards and state and national design standards; and Working in collaboration with the road design team and other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You are a technically capable with experience in design of road infrastructure projects and come to us with: Relevant professional services background including project experience with multi discipline delivery; 6 to 12 years of experience in a project delivery environment with clear participation on the delivery of road design components on projects; Proficiency in Bentley MX Road, 12D or C3D as well as previous experience in Bentley Open Roads preferred; Proven ability to design a road design element and to develop a road design digital model; In depth knowledge of civil road design standards, including Austroads, Main Roads WA supplements and associated standards and familiarity with other state road authority design standards; and Preferably a suitable degree and/or qualification relevant to road design.
