Warehouse Manager Effectively manage, streamline and safeguard all warehouse operations and deliveries to customers within the VIC and National Loan customer base. Control the receipt, warehousing, transport and distribution of the range of advanced surgical device products and equipment. The role also contains responsibilities as a member of the ANZ operations Management team to fold a functional role for ANZ. Essential functions Perform the following administrative functions on behalf of the Company and in doing so represent the Company in compliance with the Code of Conduct and Business Principles and the employment agreement. Position Functions: Customer Deliverables: Manage the daily running of the NSW operations to ensure bookings are completed in a timely manner in order to meet surgery dates. Responsible for the ANZ National Warehouse, including management responsibilities and the follow up and prevention of any performance issues. Support the Sales force in liaising with Customers back office team and understanding the customers back office needs and delivering to them. Manage business relationships with all key stakeholders such as customer service and sales. People Provide leadership and comply to the Smith and Nephew people processes Ensure Employee engagement is maximized and consistent Ensure daily shifts are covered; this includes organising employee requirements when they are off sick and coordinate the "on call" roster for all team members. Promote and manage a clean/ safe work environment with guidance and leadership to all team members, ensuring all activities comply with relevant acts, company policies, legal demands and ethical standards. Inventory Management Ensure in transit report is managed and reconciled on a weekly basis. Manage cycle counts and stock takes as per agreed timeframe. Manage stock turns and shelf life management ensuring the correct stock is located in the optimum location to improve stock turns and minimise/eliminate stock write off. Ensure that all returns are received into SAP and correctly transacted in a timely manner. Manage the rotation of inventory and removal of expired items. Responsible for stock management practices in the Branch/NDC and processes to support the management of stock on consignment. (rotation, expiration removal and accuracy) Coordination to ensure re-pack/Re-Label activities are to specifications of the relevant planner 8. Manage Inventory to ensure E&O, SCRAP is minimal 9. Meet expected level of service through, DIFOT,LIFR & Utilisation Reporting Carry out warehousing, distribution and customer service reporting and metrics daily/ weekly/ monthly or as required and make recommendations where necessary. Inventory, E&O and Scrap Operations - DIFOT, LIFR, Utilisation Customer Service all issues reported Problem resolution Identify discrepancies in bookings, ensuring Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) takes place on all occasions to minimize Company risk. Ensure nil stocks and/or discrepant stock is investigated and reconciled. Leader in Exception management in the NDC and Loan area. Logistics Manage/ perform domestic and international shipping duties and ensure delivery information is communicated to relevant departments. Ensure that Freight spend is within Budget for VIC distribution. Ensure all procedures are effectively supplied with instruments and implants in accordance with established procedures and Regulatory policies. Manage the team to successfully kit, clean and distribute loan sets. Continually review customer logistics and delivery requests and requirements and work in partnership with other Operations Leadership Team members to deliver improved customer experiences Process Improvement and Adherence : Ensure SOP's and training manuals remain current and complete across the department. Manage the Operations team to ensure the execution of best practice standards in the warehouse, including but not limited to: All bookings are handled professionally and efficiently Ensuring all procedures are effectively supplied with instruments and implants in accordance with established procedures Managing the kitting, cleaning and distribution of loan sets Booking to invoice process is lean Manage and measure workflow, procedures and resources to ensure that the efficiency and effectiveness of the state warehouse functions are continuously improved. Collaborate with ANZ operations to drive synergies and improvements throughout the entire supply chain. Ensure the correct usage of the RFID system within the state warehouse functions. The role also includes some Functional Leadership within the ANZ Operations Management Team. Maintain a working environment in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, and as defined in the quality manual and associated quality procedures. Facilities Ensure the Loan Warehouses are compliant to all relevant policies and standards, weather external or internally applied. Ensure offices are to display a level of maturity against 5S and LEAN principles 5 Other related duties, including housekeeping maintenance. Education Licenses/Certifications Essential Certificate in warehousing and distribution Certificate IV in frontline management or other relevant management qualifications Desirable MBA Experience Essential Proven experience in a customer service/ supply chain environment Proven experience in motivating and leading a team History of being accountable from a P&L perspective in managing operational costs within budget Desirable Experience in loan set operations, consignment stock and Kit/BOM setup Experience working with contaminated materials Exposure to six sigma Exposure to the medical device industry Other (technical knowledge etc) Essential Good understanding of the order fulfillment process in the public and private healthcare facilities and the key customers in this process Understanding of the medical device industry and market drivers Good understanding of warehousing and transportation methodologies Good computer proficiency in MS Office Proficiency in SAP and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies Desirable Training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/ Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) Understanding of orthopaedic and arthroscopic products and as related to operations Understanding of instrument/ implant set deployment and set movements Competencies Strong leadership skills to manage, coach, train and motivate employees to achieve company objectives; delivers results personally and also from team members by setting performance expectations and holding people accountable Superior written and verbal communication skills Ability to think strategically and drive continuous improvement Superior organisational skills and methodical approach Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines often with conflicting priorities Excellent time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good influencing, negotiating and conflict resolution skills Commitment to a high level of customer service for internal and external customers High attention to detail and accurate with numbers Pragmatic problem solving skills We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
