About the role Join our growing team as one of four Design Leads and play a vital role in bringing design ideas to life across TAFE NSW products and services. Your job is all about creating seamless and intuitive experiences for both students and staff, consistent with our Design Library. You?ll spend a significant amount of your time embedded within diverse TAFE NSW product or project teams. As well as bringing your creative smarts, you will also guide, mentor, and inspire your members to adopt our design principles and ways of working that will set the stage for delivering great experiences for 300,000 students and 17,000 staff. Your role will span the end-to-end design lifecycle, from discovery, ideation and implementation to review and iteration. Outside of the embedded team commitment, you?ll hang out with the wider design team, collaborating on joint projects, solving problems together, and swapping ideas and stories that will all contribute to an evolving and relaxed design group. About you You are a self-motivated leader with strong team instincts and a knack for bringing together disparate and complex viewpoints and objectives in a constructive and easy-going manner. You are just as happy leading as you are getting on the tools to solve the problem. You will be energised by finding the path to those solutions that empower our users and you?ll be excited about bringing your colleagues along on that journey. You demonstrate the essential requirements: 1. Degree qualification in design or equivalent significant experience. 2. Experience leading the end-to-end product design process, proficient in managing design activities across the user-centered design process. This includes strong design research skills, design thinking, prototyping, and facilitating usability testing. 3. Proficiency in creating and delivering production ready UX/UI designs that are WCAG compliant across platforms, collaborating seamlessly with developers. 4. Your expertise extends to design tools such as Figma, and collaboration tools like Miro, along with a knack for developing and maintaining design systems. 5. Ability to clearly articulate and effectively rationalize design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams. 6.
