INTERIOR DESIGNER — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

This Melbourne-based design and construction company brings together design, pre-construction and delivery, giving you early involvement, real cost certainty, and design outcomes grounded in buildability. With a growing project pipeline, they deliver a diverse range of commercial projects, including workplaces, wellness centres, retail and display suites and they're keen to appoint an emerging Interior Designer who can work across them all. A genuine expansion role within their design team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with the Design Manager. The Role You'll be involved end-to-end, developing design concepts, preparing presentations, mood boards and material selections, and producing detailed documentation packages in Revit. Coordinating closely with consultants, subcontractors, and the in-house pre-construction and delivery teams, you'll gain exposure to shop drawing reviews, material submissions and design-related RFI's during construction. It's a genuinely hands-on, collaborative way of working, and you'll often be liaising directly with the builders to resolve detailing. What You'll Need 3–4 years' experience in commercial/workplace interior design Degree qualified in Interior Design or Interior Architecture Strong proficiency in Revit, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite Excellent space planning and design presentation skills Solid documentation experience for permit approvals and construction Understanding of commercial fitout construction methodologies Strong verbal and written communication skills A proactive and resourceful self-starter with a keen eye for detail, who enjoys taking ownership of their tasks Highly Regarded Freehand sketching ability Prior experience in workplace or commercial fitouts What's On Offer Salary $80,000 – $90,000 per annum plus Superannuation Immediate start, long-term permanent position Genuine exposure to a diverse range of commercial projects Direct involvement with consultants and project delivery teams Career progression as the business continues to grow Complimentary access to an on-site wellness facility, including pilates, strength training and bath house If you're a well-rounded designer who's thrives in a fast paced environment and is just as comfortable developing concepts as you are owning a documentation package, we'd love to hear from you!
