Contract Administrator — Sydney Region, New South Wales

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Contract Administrator to support the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from procurement through to completion. About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager and Director, you will play a key role in administering construction contracts, coordinating project activities and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, commercially and in accordance with contractual obligations. You will liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers while assisting with procurement, contract management, project documentation, scheduling and financial administration. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review and administer construction contracts, subcontract agreements, purchase orders and project documentation. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, building legislation and Australian Standards. Prepare and assess subcontractor progress claims, contract variations and payment schedules. Monitor contract performance, project budgets and expenditure, identifying and managing commercial risks. Assist with tender preparation, procurement, subcontractor selection and purchasing of materials and equipment. Coordinate construction activities, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure project milestones and schedules are achieved. Organise project meetings, maintain document control systems, and prepare project reports, forecasts and completion documentation. Coordinate approvals, inspections, licences, insurance, warranties and other project compliance requirements. Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders while assisting to resolve project issues. Support quality assurance, Work Health and Safety, environmental management and continuous improvement across all projects. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Diploma or higher in Construction Management, Building, Project Management or a related discipline, or experience in lieu At least 2 years' experience in contract administration, project coordination or a similar construction role. Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes. Knowledge of Australian building and construction practices. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook). Experience using construction management software will be highly regarded. Current Australian driver's licence. Why Join Abyss Construction?
