Role Purpose The purpose of a Forklift Driver is to ensure the safe and efficient movement, loading, and unloading of goods within warehouses, distribution centers, and industrial sites. By operating forklifts and related equipment, the role supports smooth supply chain operations, accurate inventory handling, and timely dispatch of products. Key Responsibilities Operate Forklifts Safely : Drive and maneuver forklifts to move, lift, stack, and unstack goods and materials in warehouses, factories, and storage yards. Load and Unload Freight : Handle pallets, containers, and other cargo efficiently, ensuring goods are secured and protected from damage. Transport Materials : Relocate stock and supplies to designated areas, supporting production and distribution workflows. Inspect Equipment : Conduct routine checks of forklifts and report mechanical issues or safety concerns. Maintain Records : Complete basic documentation related to load movements, deliveries, and inventory handling. Follow Safety Standards : Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations, including load limits, hazard awareness, and protective equipment use. Support Team Operations : Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics and supply chain processes. What We Are Looking For (Requirements) Experience : At least 1 year of relevant forklift driving or warehouse/logistics experience. Licence : Current and valid forklift operator’s licence (LF or LO class, depending on equipment used). Safety Awareness : Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including load limits and hazard identification.
