About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist to join our growing team. The successful applicant will support engineering projects by applying technical expertise, improving production processes, assisting with product development, and ensuring engineering activities comply with Australian standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, modification and evaluation of engineering systems, products and processes to meet operational and project requirements. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical data to support the implementation of engineering projects and manufacturing processes. Investigate engineering methods, production workflows and operational procedures, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and performance. Prepare and maintain technical reports, engineering documentation, specifications and project records in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections, testing and evaluations of materials, equipment and completed work to verify compliance with engineering standards and quality requirements. Liaise with production personnel, suppliers and clients to coordinate technical activities and ensure timely completion of projects. Monitor manufacturing operations, identify technical issues and assist in developing practical solutions to improve productivity and operational outcomes. Support the implementation and maintenance of workplace health, safety, environmental and quality management systems across engineering activities. Assist in the development and manufacture of prototypes and customised components, applying engineering principles to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges. Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant Australian Standards, statutory regulations, industry codes and company policies. Essential Requirements Relevant qualification in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. At least two years of relevant industry experience (preferred). Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Knowledge of Australian engineering standards and workplace safety requirements will be highly regarded.
