Hardware Design Engineer - Contract — Macquarie Park, Ryde Area

Hardware Design Engineer (Contract) We are currently working with a globally recognised leader in the energy sector to source an experienced Hardware Design Engineer for an exciting 3-month contract based in the Sydney region. This is a hands-on technical role where you will be embedded within an established engineering team, contributing directly to a live project from day one. What You Will Be Doing In this role, you will be responsible for a range of hardware design and documentation tasks, including: -Reviewing and analysing existing input documentation and technical specifications. -Proposing and laying out replacement components for current hardware systems. -Identifying gaps in technical information and determining what additional data is required from stakeholders. -Drafting clear and professional Requests for Information (RFIs) for customers. -Utilising MS Access to manage and track component and project data throughout the engagement. What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you will bring: -Demonstrated experience as a Hardware Design Engineer with a strong focus on hardware loop design. -A methodical and detail-oriented approach to reviewing technical documentation and selecting replacement components. -Proven ability to draft customer-facing technical communications, including RFIs. -Previous exposure to MS Access — this is a requirement of the role. -The ability to work autonomously and contribute immediately within a short-term contract structure. -A background in the energy, utilities, industrial automation, or heavy engineering sectors will be highly regarded.
