Full-time Building Construction Supervisor position available in Austral, NSW 2179. Be Built Homes Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Building Construction Supervisor to support the delivery of residential construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site activities, coordinating trades, materials and resources, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring works are completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, building regulations, quality standards and workplace health and safety requirements. This full-time position is suited to a candidate with strong residential construction knowledge, practical site coordination experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and senior management. Key Responsibilities: Supervising residential construction activities to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Assisting with the planning, organisation and sequencing of on-site building works. Interpreting architectural plans, technical drawings, specifications, building codes and relevant construction documentation. Coordinating trades, subcontractors, labour, materials, equipment and site resources to support project timelines. Monitoring construction schedules, site productivity, project milestones and the quality of completed works. Inspecting works and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian building standards, regulations and WHS requirements. Identifying site issues, delays, defects or non-compliant works and assisting with practical corrective actions. Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and management regarding delivery timeframes, site requirements, progress updates and construction risks. Supporting cost control by monitoring labour, materials, variations and construction timeframes. Assisting with handover preparation, including defect identification, quality checks, final inspections and completion of outstanding works. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or higher qualification in Building and Construction or relevant field At least one year of relevant experience in site supervision within residential building construction, or a closely related construction role Strong understanding of residential construction processes, building stages, materials, trades coordination and site operations Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications and technical documentation. Knowledge of Australian building standards, construction practices, WHS requirements and quality control procedures. Effective communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with trades, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and management.
