Senior Contract Administrator - tier 2 commercial Builder - head contractor $140K - $160K package If you're seeking an interesting variety of projects, in a good environment with quality people besides you, and importantly, you know how to run the commercial side of a jobthen read on! Why this role stands out This isn't a revolving door business. Far from it. Staff turnover is close to non-existent, and there's a reason for that. People join, they settle in, and they stay. Not because they're stuck, but because they're progressing and actually enjoying their role Several of the senior leaders here started exactly where you are now, as Contract Administrators or Senior Contract Administrators, and have worked their way up through the business into PM and Contracts Manager roles. So if you're looking for a genuine long-term move, not just the next job, this is one worth paying attention to. What you'll get out of it You'll be working out of modern, well set up offices in a good Melbourne location, easy access, plenty of parking, no daily headache before you've even started work. And when you do step out for a break, you've got cafes, parks and proper lunch options nearby, not just a servo and a sad sandwich. More importantly, you'll be working across a genuinely varied project portfolio, typically ranging from $5M to $50M. Think community and education builds, civic and sports facilities, aged care, and early learning projects. So you're not stuck delivering the same job over and over again, you'll build proper breadth in your experience and stay engaged. The culture is strong, not the fluffy "we're a family" type, but a proper team environment where people back each other and get on with it. The role itself You'll take ownership of the full contractual and commercial elements of your projects, from early procurement through to final account. That includes: Letting and managing trade packages properly, with time to do it right Working closely with site teams who actually communicate and plan ahead Managing variations, budgets and forecasting without constant firefighting Having the trust to make decisions and run your own scope You won't be micromanaged. You will be expected to perform. What you'll bring You're already operating as a CA or stepping into a Senior CA role. You'll likely have: Experience across relevant commercial building projects (commercial building projects, not Infra or domestic residential project experience), in a similar project value range Strong procurement and subcontract management skills Confidence managing costs, variations and programme impacts The ability to hold your own with site teams and subcontractors You don't need to be perfect, but you do need to know what you're doing. What next? If this sounds like the sort of project environment you’re genuinely good at, let’s have a proper conversation. You don’t need a perfectly polished CV. If it’s not up to date, send what you have and we can tee up a confidential discussion.
