A global business operating across data centre and critical infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Sydney team. This is a senior, client-facing delivery role responsible for managing complex technical projects from post-order placement through to delivery, handover and customer satisfaction. The role will suit someone with strong experience in mechanical services, data centres, critical infrastructure, industrial construction, technical services, mining, major building services or comparable project environments. The role You will take ownership of large-scale technical projects, working closely with customers, consultants, contractors, builders, internal engineering teams, sales, product management, supply chain and site personnel. Key responsibilities include: Managing major technical projects through planning, delivery, handover and customer satisfaction Preparing and maintaining project plans, work schedules, milestones and documentation trackers Coordinating project deliverables, build sequencing, logistics and site requirements Representing the business in customer and project meetings Managing contractors, consultants, builders, project managers and site stakeholders Working with engineering, sales and product teams to finalise technical packages and customer approvals Managing progress claims, forecasting and commercial project controls Identifying and mitigating project risks Ensuring safety, quality, environmental and procedural compliance Acting as a key point of contact for projects after order placement About you You will be a strong fit if you have experience delivering complex technical projects in one or more of the following environments: Data centres Mechanical services Critical infrastructure Mission critical facilities Industrial construction Mining or heavy technical projects Major building services Technical services contracting Turnkey infrastructure solutions Relevant technical exposure may include HVAC, chillers, AHUs, CRAC/CRAH units, mechanical plant, UPS systems, generators, switchboards, busway, BMS, monitoring systems, switch rooms or power infrastructure. What we’re looking for The ideal candidate will bring: Strong project management experience on large-scale technical projects Experience managing customers, contractors, consultants and internal teams Commercial capability, including forecasting, progress claims, budget awareness and project reporting Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage pressure, conflict, programme risk and competing priorities Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Experience working within structured safety, quality and documentation requirements Full Australian work rights Formal project management qualifications such as PMP, Prince2 or similar will be viewed favourably, but proven delivery experience is the key requirement.
