Sales/Business Development Manager - Civil Construction — Geelong, Geelong Region

A well‑established civil construction contractor in Geelong is seeking a motivated and relationship‑driven Sales / Business Development Manager to support continued growth across local civil infrastructure, earthworks, drainage, and road construction projects. With increasing demand across the region, this newly created role will focus on expanding market presence and strengthening/creating connections with consultants, authorities, and clients. About the Role This is a strategic, client‑facing position responsible for opening doors , identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships throughout the Geelong civil construction market. You will represent the business professionally, engage with key stakeholders, and help secure new work across small‑to‑medium civil projects. Working closely with the team, you will contribute to business growth, support tender and quotation preparation, and ensure clients receive exceptional service from initial contact through to project delivery. Key Responsibilities Business Development — Identify and pursue new opportunities with consultants, developers, builders, councils, and authorities. Relationship Management — Build and maintain strong long‑term relationships across the local civil market. Client Engagement — Attend meetings, site visits, and industry events to represent the business. Pipeline Growth — Convert enquiries into projects and proactively follow up leads. Estimating Support — Assist with quotes, gather project information, and support pricing accuracy. Market Awareness — Monitor upcoming developments, tenders, and infrastructure opportunities. Client Service — Ensure clients receive timely communication and a positive experience. Professional Representation — Promote capability, values, and service standards within the industry. About You Experience in civil construction, business development, estimating, project coordination, or a related field. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Confident, proactive, and comfortable opening new doors. Organised, commercially aware, and attentive to detail. Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Current Australian Driver’s Licence and White Card. Desirable: Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, road construction, utilities, or council processes. Existing relationships within the Geelong construction, engineering, or development community.
