We are currently partnering with a leading Tier 1 electrical contractor delivering complex commercial, healthcare, industrial, data centre and infrastructure projects across Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale projects from concept through to commissioning, while collaborating with experienced engineers, project managers and construction teams in a business known for delivering quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Prepare electrical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, reports and specifications. - Design LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, communications and security systems. - Complete cable sizing, voltage drop, fault level, protection coordination and earthing calculations. - Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and client requirements. - Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants and site teams throughout project delivery. - Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and project handover. - Review shop drawings, technical submissions and engineering documentation. - Participate in design reviews, RFIs, value engineering initiatives and continuous improvement activities. About You To be successful in this role you will have: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. - Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Electrical Design Engineering. - Experience across commercial, healthcare, industrial, defence or infrastructure projects. - Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code. - Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, PowerCAD, AGi32, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office. - Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. - Current Driver's Licence and White Card. - Engineers Australia membership (or eligibility), with CPEng highly regarded.
