Medical Receptionist — Tuggerah, Wyong Area

Medical Receptionist | Casual | Wyong Family Practice Wyong Family Practice forms part of Partnered Health Medical Centres, one of Australia’s leading primary healthcare providers with over 60 clinics located throughout metropolitan and regional locations. We are looking for a Casual Receptionist that can work 15-20 hours a week must be able to work Sunday. A Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing professional front-desk support in a healthcare setting while delivering excellent customer service to patients, doctors, and healthcare staff. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient enquiries. Register new patients and update medical records accurately. Process patient check-ins and check-outs. Handle billing, payments, Medicare/private health claims, and receipts where applicable. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations. Liaise with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth daily operations. Manage correspondence, referrals, and medical documentation. Perform general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, emailing, and data entry. Skills and Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in a medical practice, specialist clinic, or hospital. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare administration. Experience using medical practice management software (such as Best Practice or similar). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time-management abilities. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Professional presentation and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
