Key Duties and Responsibilities · Conduct engineering planning for new and emerging bodies of work in collaboration with project stakeholders. · Perform systems engineering activities supporting capability delivery, including system reviews and governance forums, under assigned engineering authorities. · Review and assess contractor engineering deliverables and technical data for compliance with contractual and technical requirements. · Apply Defence engineering policies, procedures and governance frameworks, including Engineering Management System requirements. · Monitor technical risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies throughout delivery activities. · Assess systems engineering processes and recommend practical continuous-improvement actions. · Support the technical aspects of contract execution and associated contract updates in collaboration with project and commercial stakeholders. · Engage with client stakeholders, industry partners, technical authorities, regulators and commercial teams. · Provide professional engineering advice to support informed program decisions, certification and acceptance outcomes. Mandatory Skills and Experience · Current Australian Government NV1 security clearance. · Minimum 7 years of Defence or Defence-industry systems engineering experience. · Experience supporting Defence capability acquisition projects during acquisition and delivery phases.
