Construction Project Manager — Padstow, Bankstown Area

We specialise in installation of marble, granite and travertine products in NSW with more than 15 years experience in the building industry. We are currently seeking an experienced and well-rounded Construction Project Manager to join our team. This hands-on position is suitable for an energetic, positive and enthusiastic person looking for challenging and rewarding position in the building industry. You must possess a “can do attitude” and the ability to work in a team environment. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for: ·Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications; ·Coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment; ·Consulting with architects, engineering professionals and other professionals, and technical and trades workers; ·Negotiating with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; ·Preparing tenders and contract bids; ·Operating and implementing coordinated work programs for sites; ·Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety; ·Arranging submission of plans to local authorities; ·Building under contract, or subcontracting specialised building services; ·Overseeing the standard and progress of subcontractors' work; ·Arranging building inspections by local authorities. To be considered for this role you need to be able to demonstrate the following: ·A bachelor degree or higher qualification in Project Management or Commercial Management; ·At least 3 years work experience as a Construction Project Manager performing the above job duties and functions in a similar environment; ·Experience in planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating the construction of civil engineering, building and dwelling projects, and the physical and human resources involved in building and construction process.
