The business offers a range of products and services including lottery products, newspapers, magazines, greeting cards, gifts, stationery, confectionery and everyday convenience items, with a strong focus on customer service and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Managing the day-to-day operations of the newsagency and lotto outlet, including determining appropriate stock levels, product ranges and customer service standards. Developing and implementing purchasing, pricing and promotional strategies to maximise sales and profitability. Promoting and advertising store products and services, including TattsLotto products, greeting cards, gifts, magazines, newspapers, stationery and other convenience items. Providing customer service and product advice, including assisting customers with TattsLotto and Instant Scratch-Its purchases. Monitoring inventory levels, ordering stock and maintaining accurate records of sales, stock movements and financial transactions. Preparing and managing budgets and monitoring store performance against business objectives. Recruiting, training, rostering and supervising staff to ensure efficient operations and high customer service standards. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, TattsLotto policies and all relevant regulatory obligations. Qualifications and Experience A qualification in business, retail management or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within a newsagency, convenience store, lotto outlet or similar retail environment. Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships. Well-developed organisational and time management skills, including experience managing stock, staff and daily store operations. Experience with budgeting, cash handling and maintaining sales and financial records. Familiarity with TattsLotto or similar lottery systems will be highly regarded.
