ICT Quality Assurance Engineer — Alawa, Darwin

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced ICT Quality Assurance Engineer to join our expanding technology team in Darwin. About the Role The ICT Quality Assurance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, reliability and security of software applications, business systems and technology solutions delivered to our clients. Working closely with software developers, infrastructure engineers, project managers and business stakeholders, you will develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies that ensure software products meet business, functional and technical requirements before deployment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, testing frameworks and quality standards for software and ICT solutions. Analyse business and technical requirements to prepare detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts. Perform functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance and performance testing. Identify, document, prioritise and track software defects using defect management tools. Work closely with software developers to investigate, reproduce and resolve application defects. Validate software releases and ensure compliance with functional specifications and business requirements. Execute manual and automated testing across web, mobile, cloud and enterprise applications. Monitor software quality metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives. Prepare quality assurance documentation, testing reports and release sign-off documentation. Ensure ICT systems comply with organisational security policies, quality standards and industry best practices. Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing activities. Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. At least two years of relevant industry experience as an ICT Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Tester or Quality Assurance Analyst. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Experience preparing test plans, test cases, defect reports and quality documentation. Knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies and testing tools. Experience working within Agile development environments. Familiarity with cloud technologies, Microsoft environments and enterprise applications. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
