We are a Melbourne-based specialist in industrial concrete construction, delivering high-quality concrete solutions across a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. We are now seeking for full-time CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAFTSPERSON / CIVIL ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER / ANALYST PROGRAMMER to join our growing team. About the role Duties/Responsibilities: For Civil Engineering Draftsperson Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software, drafting machines, or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records. Draft and build complete projects’ plans, specifications and detailed drawings for the custom designs include structures, installations, and construction projects. Use cross-sections and surveys to prepare sketches, maps and diagrams of drainage, water supply and sewerage reticulation systems. Determine the order of work and method of presentation, such as using appropriate equipment. Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other data received from investigation to ensure that they conform to design concepts. Edit and revise plans, charts, diagrams and drawings. Determine quality, cost, strength and quality of required materials. Estimate the material costs and ensure completing works are within specifications and contract provisions. Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods. Duties/Responsibilities: For Civil Engineer Prepare and implement project plans; manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects Conduct on site investigations and analyze data such as maps, reports, tests, drawings Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials by evaluating the details in the construction drawings, product drawings and client requirements. Monitor changes to designs, assess effects on cost, and measure, value and negotiate variations to designs Design structures to ensure quality and safety, handle over the resulting structures and services for use Identify inconsistencies and errors between architectural, structural designs and specifications; notify relevant staff and provide alternative design options so they are remedied prior to estimating, production and construction Monitor and optimize safety procedures, production processes, and regulatory compliance Provide recommendations or present alternative solutions to problems Review government regulations and ordinances to ensure the compliances with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc., and deliver technical files and other technical documentation Duties/Responsibilities: For Project Manager Plan and manage industrial concrete construction projects from commencement to completion. Coordinate project schedules, budgets, resources and subcontractors. Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers and site teams to ensure project requirements are met. Monitor project progress, quality standards and workplace safety compliance. Manage project costs, reporting and issue resolution to ensure successful project delivery. Duties/Responsibilities: For Analyst Programmer Analyse business requirements and develop software solutions to support company operations. Design, develop, test and maintain software applications and databases. Write and maintain program code to improve system functionality and efficiency. Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to users. Prepare technical documentation and recommend system enhancements. Benefits and perks Great salary package ($78,000 to $115,000) will be rewarded to the right candidate. Skills and Attribute Ideal Candidate must be: Previous experience in a similar role. Strong analytical, planning, organisational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in relevant industry software and systems, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, project management and programming tools where applicable. Sound understanding of engineering, construction, project delivery or software development principles relevant to the position. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills (for Project Manager and senior technical roles). Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors and team members.
