Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time CHEF position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Design and develop innovative, seasonal menus that showcase the best of cuisine. Ensure menu items are up-to-date, reflect current trends, and meet customer preferences. Create daily specials that align with the restaurant's concept and seasonal availability. Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring cost control and minimizing waste. Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Schedule and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Implement and maintain kitchen safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety. Monitor food costs and adjust pricing and portions as necessary to achieve financial targets. Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and manage the kitchen budget. Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction. Address any food-related concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Participate in special events and promotions, representing the kitchen team. Experiment with new recipes and techniques to keep the menu exciting and fresh. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualifications. 1 year relevant experience within a fast paced environment High standard of food preparation and productivity Experience in Italian cuisine is highly desirable Excellent time management and organisational skills Reliability and punctuality. High attention to detail Salary: The role offers a remuneration package is $75,000 to 85,000 p.a. plus superannuation depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
