Could you be our next Maintenance Electrician? Based in a busy manufacturing facility on Brisbane's northside in Zillmere, this is a hands-on electrical maintenance role for someone who understands machinery, breakdowns, production pressure and safe, reliable equipment. This is not a domestic or construction-style electrical role. You'll be working in an established manufacturing environment, supporting production machinery, fault finding, completing preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns and helping keep the site running safely and efficiently. They need a practical electrician who can work closely with production, maintenance, setters, toolmakers and contractors to minimise downtime and keep equipment performing. What's in it for you? Permanent, full-time opportunity $50-$55 per hour depending on experience Monday to Friday, ideally worked between 6:00am and 5:30pm Hands-on role with genuine ownership and longevity Exposure to PLCs, automation, robotics, conveyors, dryers, chillers and compressors Your new role Your role will be focused on keeping equipment reliable, minimising downtime, supporting production and making sure electrical work is completed safely, correctly and in line with site procedures. Day to day, you'll: Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs on manufacturing machinery Diagnose and rectify electrical, PLC, sensor and control system faults Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and production interruptions Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment including conveyors, dryers, chillers, robots and compressors Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical manuals Support machine changeovers, commissioning and setup where required Work closely with production teams to prioritise maintenance and reduce downtime Monitor machine performance and identify reliability or efficiency improvements Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs and spare parts usage Support safe work practices across the site Contribute to toolbox talks, safety audits and continuous improvement activities Assist with basic equipment care training and support for operators where required What you'll need Current Electrical Work Licence / Electrical Mechanic Licence Current CPR and LVR Experience in industrial electrical maintenance Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals Experience with electrical systems, controls, automation and industrial equipment Confidence working around manufacturing machinery and production environments Ability to work with production teams, supervisors, trades and contractors Reliability, ownership and urgency when equipment is down Experience with PLC fault finding, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, compressors, chillers or automated production systems would also be highly regarded.
