PLT DEVELOPMENTS PTY LTD is seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse civil, structural, geotechnical, and transportation infrastructure projects while contributing to high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Determine construction methods, materials, and quality standards. Draft, interpret, and review engineering specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods, and procedures. Organise and direct site labour and coordinate the delivery of construction materials, plant, and equipment. Develop detailed construction programs and schedules to ensure efficient site operations. Obtain and analyse soil and rock samples at various depths to assess strength, compressibility, and other geotechnical characteristics. Determine safe loading capacities and foundation requirements for construction projects. Study architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate project costs. Prepare detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimates to support effective financial management. Monitor design changes, assess cost implications, and negotiate variations with stakeholders. Analyse structural systems under static and dynamic loading conditions. Design safe and efficient structures that resist collapse, excessive deflection, twisting, or vibration. Assess current and future transportation demands based on population growth and changing community needs. Design and evaluate transportation infrastructure, including highways, rail systems, urban transit networks, airports, logistics facilities, and associated terminals. Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering. Relevant industry experience in civil engineering, construction, structural, geotechnical, or transportation projects. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and Australian standards. Proficiency in engineering design and project management software.
