HR Truck Driver / Excavator Operator - Civil Construction (Temp to Perm) Smithfield $40/hr overtime Saturday work available 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced multi-skilled civil operator to join a busy and well-established construction company working across civil infrastructure, pier installations, earthworks, and site development projects . This is not a driving-only role, you must be confident operating an excavator on active civil sites , as well as safely transporting materials between locations using a Heavy Rigid (HR) truck. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring strong construction experience and machine competency. Key Responsibilities Safe operation of HR truck for material transport to and from sites Confident operation of excavator on civil construction sites Assisting with pier installations, earthworks, and general civil construction tasks Working closely with site supervisors and crews to complete daily scopes Following all site safety procedures and compliance requirements Supporting multiple aspects of civil construction projects as required Must Have Valid HR Heavy Rigid Licence Excavator operating experience Previous experience working in civil construction / earthworks / infrastructure projects Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced construction environment Strong understanding of site safety and machinery operation Highly Regarded Experience Pier installation experience Drainage, excavation, or foundation work Multi-machine tickets (bobcat, loader etc.) White Card About the Company Our client is a respected civil construction business delivering a wide range of projects including: Pier and foundation installations Civil earthworks and excavation Roadworks and drainage infrastructure Residential and commercial development works They are safety-focused, highly organised, and offer consistent long-term work with genuine temp-to-perm pathways.
